Has anyone seen that video and is it worth it?

Also, any thoughts on those monofins? Or maybe I should just save money and order the real thing? ;)

Nick,

I thought about it a bunch of times but never could talk myself into spending the money on that video.

I have used that monofin before, the shooter, and while I find the footpockets to be pretty comfortable the fin itself is NOT for freediving. looking at their website i wouldn't reccomend any of their monofins. Finis DOES make a good monofin, the Competitor, but this site doesn't seem to carry it.

For what the Finis Competitior costs you could get a Waterway monofin for less- and they use the same blades in their fins. I find the Finis footpockets to be more comfortable than the Waterway's but everyone is different that way.

BTW: The Outlet is wide open and I think i am going to dive on Saturday of you want to try out my newest monofin.

+1!

I have this video (acutally, it's Eric's) and it's not that helpful an instructional video. It shows good finswimming technique with Pablo Morales and a Russian champion finswimmer who's name escapes me at the moment. There are a few helpful drills but not much for the full beginner.

Thanks a lot all !

I'll skip on that video then :)

As for monofin... hmm.. The more I read on them, the more confused I become . I guess I'll have to try several monofins before making my mind :)

Jon, I'm working this Saturday :( What about next one?

Here is a great Video ´bout Finswimming:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smE2uScyPMM&mode=related&search]YouTube - 50 metre sprint underwater swim with fin[/ame]=

...and it shows more technique than most of them.

Buén Aire, Compañeros!

I've had the Finis trainer for years, and I echo Jon's reminder that it's NOT for freediving.

It's very good for performing impromptu hemicorpusectomies on dirtbags trying to share a lane with you in the pool, though. It's so stiff and sharp-edged it can slash a man in half like a hot sabre through warm butter.
