Excellent. Any hot tips on who to look out for in the way of big performances or surprises?

Cheers,
Ben

Well here's some speculation:
In static, you can of course expect anything from Timo. A lot of guys are in that 6+ range and in a position to surprise. And of course me :)

In women, at least Päivi and Sirpa are capable of 5+ and Johanna 6+

In dynamic, there is of course Eero S, current NR holder (178) and has made a deal with Kalle that they will dive over 200m this year or 100m in dnf nude. I have a feeling Eero might be trying to keep his end of the deal in this comp, which is handy as dnf is after dyn ;) Kalle could go 150+ if he can get him self motivated - but he does usually pull it together in competition. And couple of mystery guys who could do pretty impressive things.

In women Päivi and Sirpa are 125+ girls and Johanna has the potential to go very far...

DNF will be very interesting. We have Anders Larsson as guest, current swedish record holder. And at least half a dozen guys are in range to beat the current NR (108). And one potential mega surprise, but telling would be ruining, so wait and see ;)

7:45 for Timo... very good! Very curious about dynamic... Good luck to all!

I really like your "live coverage" of the competition. Now all thats missing is live comments about the performances. And interviews! Great job! Antero seems to be in shape!

Yeah, 2 national records (finnish and swedish).

Sheesh, that was really exciting to watch. The finnish record was broken 3 times in succession! First Lauri Lilja, then Mikko Pöntinen and finally Eero. I should mention that both Lauri and Mikko have been diving only for half a year or so...So I'm really amazed by the results they pulled off. Also Antero was very strong and made a mistake in the DNF SP, but the performance it self was very good. Anders was amazing to watch. His dive was tight, but clean. But I'm sure he still has some potential left. But what a beautiful technique and I really like his attitude. He has a very humble and down to earth approach to diving. But when you know what you're doing and what you're capable of, theres no reason to go gung ho...

Very nice performances in women also. But I would've hoped a little more competitors :)

Live comments and video would be nice - and not at all impossible technically. If only we had "someone" who could dedicate to that task. Unfortunately everyone is also either competing or has some other task in the organisation...And my plate is frankly just full
