fins + socks sizes?

Hi everybody,

I'm about the buy new fins and some socks matching my suit and have a question related to the sizes. Since the socks I want are only available in 3mm I was wondering if I had the add a size to my fins cauz 3mm i quite a big difference i think? I have size 43 (US 9) so do i need to buy fins size 44/45?

Help me please cause i want to order today. Finally getting a little bit warmer here so I'm eager to get back in the water

There are different sizes fins and pocketsizes. depends on the manufacturer.

I would not worry about the 3mm size when ordering fins. They compress in the footpocket and even more at depth. If you go to a 5mm sock then maybe you have to think about the footpocket size being increased... maybe.

I will give you details about my socks but i am not sure if it will help i wear Omer 1.5 socks with on 43-45 Spetton foot pocket. My foot size is 43 normally and i have bought 3 mm riffe socks before and i used it once but was so tight... as Greez mentioned you have to know that there is difference between each foot pocket brand as well as the socks...
