So i went out on my buddy's sail boat to spear some.

Beautiful day with 0-2 ft. seas and about 50 ft. visibility. We fished at Pickles Reef and i managed to shoot my first fish: a HOGFISH!

Damn those things are stupid, i practically was withing a few inches before i let him have it. ofcourse it was a fillet shot but it was close to the head and the backbone. The hog measured up to 12 1/2 inches.

My buddy shot a hog and that was it.

Saw a sea turtle, stingray, and a 6ft. nurse shark. I attempted to shoot a "resting" yellow-tail but those things are quick. I also tried to stalk a pretty good sized mutton, but when ever i got 15 ft. close to it, Mr. Mutton decided to high tail it outta there .

The reef was nice but i was wondering if any of you guys know of any reefs around key largo that has some good ledges and large coral heads?
