So I have decided to compete for the first time at the end of March and was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice? All suggestions welcome

Good luck Nikkey. The first competition left me with fond memories but unsure of what to advise others, so I inserted your question into the dinner conversation. Some qualified people offered suggestions. Mandy said to remember what you learned at SFU and Kirk said something like have fun and stay in your comfort zone.

Last year in June i was in the same shoes (or fins) you are in now. I posted my nervous questions and got a lot of helpful responses here:

In general, i'd like to say 1) practice your surface protocol, 2) take it easy for a couple of days before the competition, 3) make low announcements so you start early and then have time to enjoy the rest of the competition. They are really wonderful, it's very exciting to see other freedivers perform.

Have a great time, keep us posted, eh?
