About a month ago I suffered eardrum perforation. It's already healed but it will take another 2 weeks before I can start normal swimming and 2 months to be able to dive in open water.

Doctor said I will be prone to eardrum perforation from now on due to a scar tissue developed on"healed" eardrum.

My question is: how should I approach my "comeback" to diving?

Only thing I now is that I will take it easy, but don't really know what "take it easy" could mean :)

Should I try to equalize gently in swimming pool on few training sessions before even going for open, deeper water? Should I work harder on my equalization muscles and technique? Should I descent very slow etc.?

I would be grateful if someone who had similar, unpleasant experience, share his/her tips

Thank you
