Me and Steve finally got all of our gear on the 1 St of December and couldn't wait for the weather to warm up so we headed on down to bovisands beach ! There was snow and ice on the beach but that didn't stop us ! So we got changed on the beach and got into the sea and lets just say it was cold cold ! We swam out and couldn't find any fish but we had a laugh trying out are new gear ! We were in there for a good 2hours but that was a bit to long as we got out blue in the face and numb in the body but it was worth it ! I have some pictures after we had got changed and were trying to warm up ill upload them after this ! We don't have weight belts so we made are own with a regular belt and weights from a dumbbell set ! It worked but was uncomfortable as they moved about a bit. Hopefully we will be back in ASAP :t !

Hello Steven.
Welcome to db.
Some rep' for you both, getting changed on the beach in the snow brrrrrr.

Savage work boys!
Great to get in!
Is the viz better with the motorbike helmet

For the fish, you need to be really quiet, and stealthy.
Proper weight belt and weights will go a long way.

Having some pasta an hour or so before the dive will help to keep you guys warm, and don't forget hydration, hot thee is nice.

Great to read and see you're about to be all season divers!

Jeysus!!

Getting changed on the beach, the belt off your jeans and some weight training weights - you guys are hard core!!!!

Maximum respect!

Great stuff, brings back good memories.

All through high school and college, the day after Christmas dive was a "required attendance" event. Stinking, freezing cold sometimes, but always a great dive where everybody got to show off their new gear.
