i have been toying with the idea of getting a mono fin for quite some time now i was wondering what some less expensive model's are and where i can buy them. any help would be greatly apreciated

Or if you're looking for a little more comfortable fin, especially for your first one, I'll echo the usual call to the Waterways Nemo. The footpockets will be a little easier to get used to, especially if you're making the transition from bifins, and they're pretty bombproof.

Triton Monofin standard (not Hyper) excellent finish, water scoots and good foot pockets, very similar to WW M1 and M2.

my girlfriend and a couple of friends have them and are VERY happy. cheap too.
