I am a boxing fan and always have enjoyed knockouts. Today while fishing I had an experience I have never had before. I took a shot at a yellow perch and realized right away that the shaft was down without a fish on the line. To my pleasure I saw the fish sitting on the bottom virtually motionless close by. I have had shots in the past go through the brain and the shaft break out of the fish due to the proximity to the surface flesh, but when I examined the fish there was no hole. The only sign of trauma was a small scrape on the forehead of the fish. He had been knocked out by blunt force...cool. It was apparent that he wasn't dead as he put up a fight when I finished him with the knife.

that happened to me this weekend, shoot big trigger and it instantly droped like a stone otherwise i would loose it coz spear did not penetrate the other side, only 2-3 cm penetrated, it was turned it side and was about to enter the cave. I dived that cave just before the trigger fish come. In the hole there was 8-9 kg grouper but only part of it visible (so did not take the shoot) and the cave was the one of the most difficult ones i ever saw, so if i let the trigger to go in the cave i would loss it. Take the shoot from 5 meters from the tip of the gun and luckly brain hit!!!
