Hi Dave welcome to DB
Best info I can give is have a look in the hunting section and search under UK in the hunting equipment forum.
There should be plenty of Info.

hi huan thanks for the info.i looked at the hunting section and it seems a lot of spearos in the uk use guns from 60cm to about 90cm. one that caught my eye was the imersion concept pro at 75cm. since i live on the east coast of scotland i would like to know if this is a good choice or am i way of the mark?

I would personally use a 90 over a 75 but that may be because the vis where I live is usually pretty good.(not at present)
I find when I use a 75cm now that the range is a little limited although very easy and fast to load.
What is the viz like where you are?
I personally use a Picasso Century and as such am not familiar with the Imersion Concept so cannot offer any advice on this gun.

well the viz here is good (most days) so do you think the 90 would be the best choise?does the 90 have more range? is it harder to load?

I find that 90cm is a great choice for me, almost as easy to load as a 75 and a little more range, I have rigged mine with double wraps so the range is just a little more,
90cm is not really any harder to load but after loading a 90cm loading a 75 is like childs play.
Are you targeting Coalfish? If so a 90 would be just about perfect.

haun thanks cod it is so i guess 90cm gun will be good. you say you use double wraps?

For cod I would be tempted to use a 75, as I find it a better length for hole fishing.
Double wraps work for some people, but personally I find it more hassle than it is worth

dave thanks could you give me some info on a gun?thought about the imersion concept pro.is this a good choice? or not.

Nothing wrong with Imersion guns, although I am biased towards the Seatec and Venom guns which I sell! PM me if you want more info
