first speargun build

hey evry one im new to the form i joind because im going to start building my first gun im looking at making a 110 cm euro gun with 2 bands i im wanting to build it of oak much like the one in this video my homemade wooden speargun. spearfishing - YouTube thanks i hav a few questions

1: will oak hold up well if i epoxy it enough ?

2: how will the neptonics euro triger mech do ?

3: wher can i get a but pad for my gun ?

4: what handle should i get ?

5: how do i make the wholes for where my bands go ?

6: what size shaft should i get ?

Wow thats a lot of questions. Most of these are personal preference, no one is going to be able to tell you what YOU need. Thats why you are making the gun. Spear-board has quite a few speargun building pages as well. I would just shy away from asking these questions tho, and try to learn most of it out on your own. They tend to be a little harsh on the newbies who wont search before posting. Also, if you arent sure how to drill the band holes, id suggest A LOT more reading. Routing the track, and cutting the pocket for the trigger mech, handle and such are about five times harder then making band holes. There are plenty of videos on you tube so id suggest there as well. Read read read, if you have a question, ask the search bar. In fact, id suggest going to each sub forum and reading from page 1-25, if your questions arent answered by then, then ask.
