first time buying long fins (help)

I need to buy my first pair of long fins for freediving & spearfishing, I am a bit lost as to the different choices. Length, brand, stiffness, ext.

I will be spearfishing from 10-60ft and really do not have more that $200.00 to spend.

I was looking at the: Mares Razor Pro Fins or Cressi Gara 3000 LD Fins, but I really do not know the difference?

check out the omer millenium fins i have them for CA freedive spearfishing and love them. plus there are a lot of companies that make carbon and glass fin blades for the footpockets if you want to upgrade them later. check leisurepro.com for the price right around $200

Be aware that the Razor Pros are definitely stiffer than the 3000 LDs. The standard Razors are more similar to the Cressis.

How wide is your foot?

The Cressis are for narrow feet. Beuchat fins would also be for narrow feet.
I've heard that the Mares are for medium widths, as are the Omer Milleniums and newer Stingrays.
Imersion greens would be comparable stiffness for wide feet.

You should defiantly consider the carbon blades made by Freedivers in south Africa. I have used pretty much every brand of plastic, composite and carbon fins that I could get my hands on over the years and haven’t come across another set of blades that has as good a effort/performance ratio.
