First time out in the UK

Hi Guys, :wave

Im looking for a suitable venue for my mate and I to have our first attempt at speargun fishing. Ideally we would like to head to the south coast Dorset/Devon area, although Wales could also be an option. If any of you guys out there have any suggestions that would be great.

Dorset is good, just look for a venue that has got rocks/reefs/weed in close and you'll be heading in the right direction. But make sure you the sea is easily accessible and exiting is easy aswel. And make sure you check the area for tidal movement, if it's your first outing I would personally avoid tide.

If your diving Dorset try anywhere between Portland HARBOUR (advise against Portland itself) and the far end of ringstead.

That's ideal as the Vis should have cleared up and there will be more fish around. Happy hunting
