First trip Cornwall

Complete novice here!

I'm planning my first trip out at some point next week but want some local info before I commit myself to a spot.

I am thinking primarily of Godrevy which is quite close to me... Can anyone tell me if this would be a good first trip and if there is anything that I should be aware of?

I don't want to go too deep as my PB is only a couple of minutes at rest.

Any other spot suggestions would be most welcome.
