Hi All.
I used to spend days snorkelling around the local costline but have just recently dipped my toes back in the water for the first time in years. My first outing brought home a nice pan sized Bass and this morning a Mullet for seconds. getting to grips with my new Beuchat marlin 75 is as easy as can be asked for, two fish in four shots so no complaints there. Vis was only a couple of meters but then if I cant see the fish then the fish may not see this great wallowing lump wrapped on rubber either. While I`m on here I`d like to say thanks to Anthony at venture sports for his guidance and sorry for not realising the first Bass went to you. Maybe the next one aye. Cheers.

Looks as if you are having excellent success already. Post up some pictures of your catch. I hope you have future successes.

Hi Coastie, if you managed to get a bass on one of your first outings you are doing very well indeed !! it took me ages to get one !! did you used to spear before ? I guess by the poor vis you were in Torbay and if your looking for clearer vis try venturing into the south hams area ,many good spots to choose from. I also get all my gear from venture sports and find them great to deal with and i live not too far away which is very convenient as spear gear shops are very few and far between ,and i am not an online shopper !! fortunately for me i have this week off and the weather is looking good and it is a good time of year to fish so i will make the most of it as it is nearing the end of the season for me !

Hi Mirror
Yes I was in Torbay. I live and work here. Ive got a day off on Monday so plan to drop the missus off to work and have a dip then. got a couple of spots I want to have a look at that have been good for me with rod and line. Hopefuly pictures to follow.
