Hey Guys,
Last time i went spearfishing i took a fish carrying bag to hold small fish, octopuses, moray eels and other things.
The bag was very frustating to carry around. It was too close (In my hand actually :t) and i could not get a clear shot with both hands occupied.
Thus i decided to build up small cage into which i could carry around with me and place fish in. In an inexpensive way rofl
Material Used:
Chicken Wire (Wire Frame Used For Cages : We want water coming in)
Two 10-Litres Bottles
Small Water Bottle
Orange Paint
Blue Undercoat Galvanizing Paint (Rust :naughty)
How it was built:
I made a rectangle shape with the Chicken Wire tied with cable ties and reinforced with the Chicken Wire itself. (More Tall then Wide for stability)
Once finished it was painted Blue (Camo) using Undercoat Galvanizing Paint to avoid rusting. Altough it will rust eventually! :head
Next i attached the Two 10-Litre bottles (Painted Orange so the boats can see me) to the top of the cage in such a way that it would have about 5 cms of it out of the water. (This is where i put the fish into from)
Next i attached a small water bottle (With small holes to let water in at a small flow). I use this to collect some of the lead dropped by fisherman which i find on the sea floor.
Finally i tied the yellow lids of the two bottles with a long strong string. That should give me extra space, fresh fish, less distraction and it should be very easy to handle.
It is also very light and with some test the one 10-Litre bottle can hold around 60Kgs on the surface.
Once i test it i will let you know how it goes. You can take a look at the image to get an idea of how it looks likes. (Yeah i can use some CAD )
