Hi Guys,

I recently speared this fish in Indonesia, I thought it might be a Golden Trevally?

But I looked up Golden Trevalley and them seen to have strips on them? This has no stripes?

Any ideas.

Looks like a permit/pompano.

Funny coincidence since i got a fish the other day that i thougt was a trevally when i shot it, and when i got out of the water and got another look at it i wasnt sure what it was. I was thinking it was maybe a permit fish first but it doesnt have the bump on the head.

Anybody know this specie?

First one definitely looks like a permit and the second one looks like a pompano. We get the pompano here in the Gulf of Mexico pretty thick starting this month.
