Hi,
Wondering if anyone has a source of condensed information on fish of the Northeast Atlantic relevant to Spearfishing? I dont want to know all the different fish in the sea, just a list of which ones I should be aiming to target, their season, what kind of areas they are found in etc. I want to take up spear fishing but do not want to use the "kill it and figure out what to do with it after" approach. I want to be able to identify and select the correct targets as consistently as possible before ever killing.
So far in our water adventures we see a lot of Wrasse, Dogfish and possibly pollock. I don't think any of these are considered spearfishing targets?
Thanks.
