Congratulations my friend. You are the new owner of a brand new cressi geronimo Pro 85 and a handmade Fish of the Year shield :friday:friday:friday

A big thankyou to all who took part in this years FOM/FOY. A special thankyou to Old Man Dave ( always in our thoughts) and Devondave for the trophies and Shield and of course a massive thankyou to Anthony for donating this years Speargun Prize.

Yes, but let's not forget to offer our commiserations to the runner-up, Sunfish, who was narrowly pipped at the post by . . . errr . . . Sunfish.

Anyway, well done Sunfish. I could hardly make up my mind between your bass or your pollack, so the best man won as far as I'm concerned. :)

(P.S: I voted pollack in the end).

Well done Sunfish, a deserving winner for sure.

Thanks very much to all who voted!!! I forgot to vote myself as I've been rabbiting the last few weeks instead of diving. I just checked my emails and I'm knocked out by this!
Actually I thought the pollack was a better fish as it took more diving to get it. No reallyroflrofl.
I thought Ashly122's sole a very good fish - I'm in awe of people who do well on flatties. I really struggle with them. Thanks again to all who voted and to whoever made the trophy. I can't wait to recieve it.

Really nice job guys! I would have voted for all :)

cheers,

kp

The Top Prize going to a top bloke, well done you old hippy you.:friday

Well done sunny and I agree about the pollack which was a stunning fish -- enjoy your goodies :)

Well done Sunfish! I wish you'll enjoy your new italian toy Gerry 85.

If I'm not wrong this is the first time a Bass makes the Fish of the Year (after Shiny's gilthead and Tecdave's huge pollock). Such a splendid bass you caught is a great fish to honour the dear memory of our friend OMD. I may guess that Dave himself would have probably voted for your fish too.

Now sharpen your tips for 2011. What's next to win? Flattie?
