I have an omer aluminum reel, pelagic 80, one of the sides or the spool is loose (not only loose is out). I was wondering if any one else have patch that reel back together. What is the best glue that one should use to patch it back. It needs a glue for metal that will hold even in salt water.

Hey, I'm trying to figure out what part is glued on the 80 reels and I'm coming up short. Send me an email at mark@omerdiving.com with a picture and I'll help you figure out how to tighten it. Everything is either aluminum, stainless or teflon bushings with a few o-rings.

Thanks, Mark

Here it is, by the way I am not sure if this is really a omer reel I've bought two years ago from Maui Sporting goods. It looks like a pelagic 80 but could be just a clone.
