Flashers/lures?

Has anyone used flashers in uk waters for pollock, coalies, cod ect...
If so how well they work
I could have a set built in 10mins but i just wanted to know if there was any point

no sure about flashers but i've had awesome results with this.

I've thought about using a small float and attatching it to my gun and in between having a couple of soft plastic lures suspending between the float and the gun... I'll be sat in the kelp every time I move my gun the lures will bounce and dart. I've done a lot of successful lure fishing in the past.
I'll let you know how it goes.
