Dnt bother buying an expesive peace of flashy meteltel.

just stick to cds together shiney side out. Drill a hole 4mm from the edge and clip a swivell on.

This is also my secret for catching makys on fethers. just run about 5 cds down a line and waight well. I tend to put them under a small bouy runing 2m off the boat so there not in the shadow of the boat. I have them as deep as I can depending on the vis. (3m-10m)

Whilst spearing in Costa Rica I also worked out that the Bag inside of a wine box (boxed wine – not bottled) is nice and shiny.... and you can easily cut it to the size of the baitfish you want.

I tend not to use metal as the sharkys pick it up on their radar.

Another nifty trick is to tie a small float that will be sunk by the weights on your flasher line 2ft under the main float... I tend to use a small empty water bottle. Doing this creates an extra yank that allows each float to move at its own rhythm; and in the serge gives the flashers extra life-like movement.

How effective have these flashers been? Aren't CDs rather big to attract bass & mackeral - or does size not matter (as there is nothing for the fish to judge size against?).

The flash That the cd seems to produce is not ass big as the hole cd, just sevral small specks on one cd. The makeral seem to like it more. I found With bass its good just to use one cd and berly.
