Hello guys,

I broke my diving flag on my Rob Allen hard float. Have you some ideas to repair the stem of the flag ??

thank you.

I think they sell replacements, might even cover it under there legendary 20 year warranty?

I got an RA flag & stem and threaded base some years ago. I forget why, possibly because I'd bought the version that can take a flag but which did not include the flag for some reason? My float includes the required counter-balance weight invisibly inside; I think newer RA solid floats require an external lead weight (also from RA) to be screwed onto the float to counter-balance the flag ;)

BTW I noticed on YouTube yesterday that RA are now making and selling 2 quite big, new solid floats - a bit like mini- boats. "Banks Board"s.. Look cool but probably heavy.

Alternatively you could probably make a replacement mast from something, perhaps like wooden dowel, a thin fibre glass rod or a couple of pieces of old car antenna? Good luck
