Im just getting started with spearfishing and was wondering if it’s possible to attach a float line to the sling. If so, how should it be done?

That not a Hawaiian sling, it's a 3-prong polespear.

Anything you will target with that won't likely need a floatline, because you can't really take down large fish with that combo.

If you're worried about losing it or having a place to store your catch, you can simply tie a loop of spectra to it, or if the band is not tight enough, tie a knot in the rubber itself and attach the line to that.

Oh - and tidy up your room.

its possible, but you lose so much power that it doesn't make sense. Free shaft is for slings. If you want to keep a hold on the fish, use a polegun.

Google manny knot, it puts another loop in the rubber to which you can attach a float line. Remember that the float line has to be drawn along the spear with the rubber, if you just tied the line to the end of the spear, it would act as drag through the water
