Hey all,
This would mainly be aimed at UK spearo's/speara's; does anyone actually use a dive float and tie the line to their gun? I've been carrying around a 2kg weight and just dropping it where I fancy diving for the next 30 mins and then move on. I have my fish keep and a goody bag on the float. Does it not cause problems with tangling and with all the bother we go through of camo suits, tinted lenses and staying still for extended periods of time what's the point if your going to drag a huge line around the bottom with you?
Please any advice/comments would be massively appreciated.
Cheers

I very often have float line attached to my belt. I have setup for the gun but it doesn't work well as i am moving close to the rocks and the line gets tangled up easily. It happened few times and i couldn't aim the fish properly. If u do drift diving attach line to yourself and if ur spearfishing in one spot ur way with anchor works perfect.
