whats the technique when ur spearing fish with a float line? once you've speared a fish do you go up the float line and pull it up from there? wat type float would u reccomend?

Jay
You can buy a Rob Allen float or many other brands or make you own out of a Ruber boat fender or boogie board , rope and shark clips.
It depends on how big the fish is, as to if you just drag it up, grab the line on the surface or grab the float and hang on if you have speared a big mother.
I dont like floats to much rope tangling around things and you have to drag the rope down with you as you dive, much prefere a reel.
There are lots of good books out there that have heaps of info in them, go to
Adrenaline spear shop on line line they have heaps and will get it to you in a few days or go to Deeper Blue on line shop.
Keep away from those sheep on cold N.Z nights
Caarrrn the Wallabies and happy hunting

Sounds like your a Lions Supporter if you are well what can i say.
Think the All Blacks migh give you lot a good flogging, but make sure you soften them up a little for the mighty Wallabies.
