I may have found something that might interest you. If you check out this link http://www.spearo.co.uk/spearo.htm then click on online shop, under the catagory called general acessories you will find near the bottom of the page a float called the Seatec nautilus Float. It is rigid and has a hatch which looks like you could store fish in it (although i am sure that is not what it is acctually meant for). Just an idea!

im in the middle of designing/making one for myself, as im very unsatisfied with the typical stringer systems that mean a lot of drag when i have some nice stuff on them, the drag is especially annoying when i have to swim upcurrent back to the beach.. basically, it will be a twin pontoon design, with a 15 inch wide, 10 inch tall, 25 inch long icebox in the middle (twin pontoon so that the flag will stick up still when i have ice and fish inside of it.. ice because sometimes im in the water for up to 6 hours
i think seatec nautilus and esclapez (immersion) have something close to the idea.
then an out of the box idea would be to fit a small cooler (soft pack) on the sevylor hunter platform float, and have ice there. i hear they dont also cause much drag and are inflatable to easy to store and travel. of course after a few dives you will need to throw away the cooler as it will stink
or use the shardana omer float or a boogie board and fit the same little soft pack cooler on.

I just had a thought on this topic. How about a medium sized waterproof dry bag? Fish could be kept and bled inside it. Squeeze most of the air out of it and it won't float too high in the water. A reuseable ice block would help keep it cold and weighted down. Takes a little longer to put the fish in there, but the trade off is rolls up really small when not in use. I'm gonna try one in conjuction with my boogie board float, see how it goes.
marwan.I HAVE USED THE FLOAT ONLY 3 TIMES AND THE EXPERIENCE HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD.THE FLOAT IS MADE OF FIBERGLASS IS LIKE A MINI KATAMARANI ALMOST DOENST FILL IT WHEN IM DIVING WITTH IT.MAKE SURE YOU ALSO BUY THE PEDAGNO.IT ATACHES TO THE WEIGHT BELT WITH A FLOAT LINE.YOU CAN PUT ICE INSIDE THE FLOAT AND CARRY THE FISH INSIDE.I MY SELF ONLY PUT INSIDE A BIT OF SALT WATERAND NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH FISH AFTER SPEARFISHING MORE THAN 2 HOURS.I HIGLY RECOMEND THIS FLOAT.THE SHEAPEST WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT IS WITH DAVE SPEARO IN UK.
Marwan, I think you need a "plate". They were divised in Tahiti for shore-based spearfishing and are also used in competitions. Basically, it's cross between a spearfishing board and a very small boat, where you put the fish inside (to keep them from sharks) and spare guns on the top. Unfortunatelly, I don't any photos of them. They also use them in New Caledonia.

A dive buddy of mine has a custom built float w. fish storage made by a guy in Okinawa.... its pretty incredible. It has a large ''trapdoor' hatch for fish, flag holder, backpack straps (for carrying on land) and a even a little light (for spearing at night). I'll try and get a photo of it later in the week.
my friend just painted it camo for night spearing (!) and send me a photo. You can just make out the trap door hatch for fish and the little light at the front end. There's a separate compartment too for water bottle etc.
reading back over your post, it maybe that this setup is not as streamlined as you might need. I can't really say, I haven't used it myself and can't compare it to my own torpedo style float, but my friend doesn't seem to have any problems with pulling it. He did say tho that its so big it can handle the fish for 2 or 3 spearos and that it Okinawa he often shares the time pulling it with other divers.

its made from a plywood base with a hard styrene shell above. Actually it wasn't made by my friend but by a Japanese/American who lives in Okinawa, sorry I don't know his name , but he makes very interesting gear including hybrid wood/aluminium tuna guns.
