Well I'm home from work today due to the flooding over here. Quite manic in the city. We're high and dry and I'm hoping Benny is ok.

Been through it here in '98 and again in 2001. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. If you're in the muck AT ALL, even just helping clean up, get a tetinus shot! Our big one in '98 was in colder months and we didn't have to deal with snakes--hope y'all don't have the lovelies coming up onto dry ground and into houses and such. :naughty Prayers for all involved.

Good luck Reefy, hope you get away without getting stuffed by the floods, it’s been on the TV over here and looks bloody grim.:head

We're fine here apart from no power which makes it hard with the kids but they find it rather exciting. Might head to my parents for a few days.

A quick look at how surreal it is right now. Flooded city, perfect clear summer day.

Yes mate, we're fine. We live on a hill. All our family is also ok. I rode to work today, first day back and it's a very sad scene. Empty streets, mud everywhere, no people, no power. I have watched the Resident Evil films and it reminded me of that. Makes you weep thinking of how bad some have it right now.

Good news mate, it must be devastating for the poor sods who got flooded though.

There are still 60+ people missing, not to mention the 15+ dead. It's not a good thing here.
What really P1$$3$ me off though are the people complaining that they have bad mobile phone reception and the likes. YES OF COURSE YOU DO! But instead of worrying that the water killed your phone, why not feel sorrow for the PEOPLE the water has killed and removed homes from etc etc.
