I've been throwing inquiries left and right about freediving around Ft. Lauderdale. I am going to the Blue Wild spearfishing/diving expo later this month then I'll have two days to dive on July 1 and 2.
One possibility is to just beach dive to the local reefs, but getting together with local freedivers would be great too. I'm pretty much a novice though
I took the PFI Intermediate Freediving class last year. My typical dives on the last couple outings are 20-30' depth (the bottom) and 30 to 60 seconds.
I have been in contact with a Ft. Lauderdale resident freediver who suggested maybe driving down to the Keys. It seems though that local stuff might be just as good.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
