Hi SotaDiver, Welcome to DB.

I don't scuba anymore, but, if you are interested to learn some freediving skills, I'm usually in Arlington Pool in the afternoons, 3-4 days a week. Sometimes there are two or three of us there. PM me if you are interested.

Hey there. I pretty much grew up free diving and such but nothing from a technique stand point, just all around reefs in the keys where i used to go every month. I'm starting to get into spearfishing and I dont really know many places to freedive in the area without a boat to hunt or anything.

There's not a lot available from shore around Sarasota and I don't spear here at all. I can point you to a few fishy areas, but you need to check the current regs to make sure its legal.

That would be helpful. Anywhere I can Dive thats really worth goin to? Ledges and such?

Welcome from Texas! Shoot straight & dive safe! Ledges & structure will usually hold fish.
