Whewwwww hoooo what a year its been thus far. Been meaning to start a thread on spearfishing with my local buddies and those visiting Florida (alot of which I've met here) for some time now, and decided why not today! I'll post "cliff notes" of the dive with an extended version of the story here...as the truth goes- a picture >>))))))'> speaks a 1000 words.

Headed out of Bayfront last week shot this nice 26" hoggy...PB this year, couldn't wrap may hand around its tail. The larger grouper in the pix is 24" (for comparison) also last week shot this 23" as well stay tuned more to come.....

Tone great thread mate, thanks for sharing and keep the pictures coming, them Hogfish are some funky looking things, bet they taste good though.:)

Yep very tasting indeed, where you been Podge?

Had a sneaky 10 days in the Caribbean (Grenada) but other than that I’m always around mate.
Seems like you’ve been busy of late what with nailing the fish and living it up at freedive/spearo shows.
Tis all good Tone.:):)

Been ooc for awhile, but managed a few nice fish (including a PC mahagony snapper ), and mini season was kind to us as well. been suffering from a messed up shoulder, actually a f*^k up shoulder, just as well, with this weather we've been having. Nationals is here, should be interesting...

Here are a few more including a nice slabber. second day mini was blowin' hard, wouldn't have gone, but we found a nice grass ledge (day prior) with the "mother load'o'bugs", we got sidetracked with some nice bottom that had some big bugs and never made it to the grass ledge 18 lobsters in less than 2 hours, later at the dock biologists tallyed more female, which we found out are usually bigger
