They are launching back to space, as I've always suspected they aren't originially from here.

It looks like some has atleast 2m of air beneath them considering the size of a manta, can they really breach that high? I suspect doctoring....

the one i saw breaching came at least 2.5m out of the water.

I've seen rays - don't know what type - breaching in Chesapeake Bay when I lived in Washington DC. They used to go pretty high and was very impressive.

It is said that rays breach to rid themselves of unwanted parasites. They dont have any other means of scratching them off... and some of the cleaner fish cant remove all of them.

Hi, Sara, they say that about anything they(boffins)cant explain, even the same for the sperm whales that breach, my theorie is they do it because they can and they enjoy it.
