Has anyone recently flown with Ryanair and a speargun and can report whether there will be any problems with it?
Thanks!

Well, I assume you are checking it in obviously. People who will scan and POSSIBLY do a manual inspection of your luggage do not work for Ryanair - they work for the airport. As such the regulations are clear: rubber guns are allowed and air guns as well provided they are depressurized. However if you have a special hard tube for your gun you *MIGHT* get a thorough inspection and a possible delay - I know of a few cases. I have a 90cm airgun that I put in my luggage so normally I do not have issues.
