I am traveling to Cairns for business in early September 2019. As any good Spearfisherman will do I have added extra days to my trip and will be bringing my gear with.
1. If anybody has a spot on a boat or needs a diving buddy from 7-14 September anywhere near Cairns please let me know. I can return the favour if you ever come to Cape Town, South Africa.
2. Where can I buy, rent diving weights in Cairns? I have limited luggage space/weight and won't be able to my weights over. I have flown a set from Portugal to South africa with carry-on luggage, but teh security officers wasn't to happy about it.
3. Do I need to buy a Spearfsihing permit for the area?
4. Will a normal "3mm Surf" wetsuit work? We dive 9-12 C water and my 5mm Closed cell Rabitech will be WAY too hot.
Any other helpfull info will be great.
