Foot pocket mount kits?

I'm about to order some foot pockets from Subprof. Alongside their foot pockets, they offer brand-specific mount kits (e.g., from Beuchat, OMER, Spetton...but not Picasso). Do I necessarily need to order the appropriate mount kit along with the foot pockets?

I'm thinking of trying the Beuchat foot pockets (already have OMER's...figured this is an opportunity to feel around). Any praise or criticism for these?

Beuchat pockets are quite good, but of course it also depends whether they fit well your feet. I love them. However, you should know that the distance of the two screw holes is smaller than at Sporasub, and at many other fins, and that the T-slit in the side rails is also smaller than at other foot-pockets, so you may need to adjust the blades accordingly if they are not made for Beuchat.

BTW, wanted to ask already before: it is an x-ray of your own skull with the spear going through? I know this happened, but wonder if it was really you

Haha...no. Yeah, I remember once seeing the article and saving the picture, but I can't seem to find my way back to the article again. If you or anyone else has a link to it, please share it.
