HIYA,

At the end, MY TIPYCAL WAY OF FISHING, the waves you have here are a little by bigger than here, but "fishable".

Nice photographs, very nice fishes, i would like to fish there, but BTW, what ca you tell me about our friend the shark? If you Miles dive there i will dive there. If Tommy dive there i will think about diving there, but i will see and ask before.

I have everything needed to fish in the middle of these waves with my usual pneumatics and shoot this "dorada in spanish", very tasteful here.

How a Spaniard can be nationalised in SA? :head:head:friday

I see the photos and i think you where fishing last weekend in my usual zone ....
But i do not see that kind of fishes ........

Amazing pictures guys, impressive the Mussels Crackers and the Snapper, and the Yellow Tail.... :inlove:friday

Congrats Miles and Tommy, but answer please the Fernando's comment:naughty
Regards.

Carlos.

Hiya

The place is not too sharky!! Very few sharks, but like any place in South Africa, there's no place where you are completely safe!!

Tommy wants to know when you guys are coming over again, so that he can take you to spear some Dorada/Musselcrackers. Schools of 15-20fish, all in the 10-15kg class was quite common......:D:D:D

Define "not too sharky" more exactly ..

Sharky = You see 1 dangerous shark (GW, Tiger, Bull) every 10 dives
Too much Sharky = 1 every dive

I am thinking about moving to SA, you have bigger boats there !!!

Very big musselcrackers. I should stop seeing them. It is safer.

When are the tuna coming ? Did you ever saw Marlin?

roflrofl Nothing THAT scary!! Maybe one dangerous shark a year!! (if you're unlucky!!)

Guys what species are those breams you call musselcrackers exactly? They look amazingly similar to breams we have here in the Med, but such big size is uncommon here, to say the least.
Congratulations anyway Miles: splendid fish and splendid location as usual!

Hiya

Spagetti, White Musselcracker is Sparodon durbanensis.

The Gilthead Sea-bream or Dorada is Sparus aurata, which is the one you get in the med.

They look very similar, with our just growing much larger!!:D:D

I WILL GO DIVING THERE WITHOUT DUBT

People here are specialist in this kind of fishing. We call it "pescar en la rompiente" (fish in the wave). You go to the middle of the white zone of waves breaking into the rocks (we can do it with 2-3 meter waves, more depending of shore caractheristics) and shoot fish eating mussels in that zone in high tide.

I will publish a video of one of my "sargo" fishing in that conditions.

Is the zone the cape? or around Capetown?

Thats EXACTLY how you hunt musselcracker!!

Its a few hours tow from Cape Town. Tommy said he'll be happy to take you guys there with his boat for a few days spearing!!:D:D:D

Soooo, when you coming??:D:D

Soooo, when you coming??:D:D

Juts for a few days of spearing these big "dorada".

I have just seeing "The Shark Bay Spearfishers" & "Spearfishing in Vuanutu" video of a long weekend of camping.

I insist, how you convert into SA citizen in order to do thing right? :inlove I will start tomorrow my divorce plans :martial as my wife :chatup does not support me very much in a long trip late in the year ...

I will turn "spearo seaching trip mode" on now.
:friday
