After seeing a few of the fish still around I reckon we should have a little fish of winter comp.
Top prize is the honour of being the one to catch the fish of winter, and perhaps a pat on the back from your fellow spearo's :)
Nothing more I'm afraid :)

I'll add a poll to this thread and we can vote on it in the weeks leading up to the next OMD FOM (April I think)

To qualify all you have to do is post a pic and link to your report of a fish you caught in any of the winter months outside of the OMD FOM. (So feel free to back date reports to November / December.

Please only put in one fish from every report (SO if you caught one 3 fish last night put in your best, and if you catch 8 tonight, put in your best again)

I might have a pop out this week myself to see whats about :)

Here's last night's sole then. Never had a sole in the winter before, thought they were only a summer fish. It's not massive, but it's my favourite catch of the winter so far...

Great idea . . . well done everybody!

.

Fantastic winter bass mate, would give you more rep, but need to spread the love before I can do that. Congrats!!!!!!

Watch out for the Dorset crew coming your way this summer whilst the olympics are on :)

You’re not wrong there mate, I’ve already got me Pitch Fork sharpened up and ready to invade.:):):)

ha ha me to! me and lee have been setting to work on gear for it. 2 boats , new floats lots of beer and loads of time. should b a good 1!!!

I'm entering the biggest lobster from the pic as there are already a few flatties on here from my mates and don't think a 2.5lb flounder compares to a 2lb plaice or a winter sole.

Didn't weigh the lobby's; they went straight into the pan when I got home. Me and the misses shared the biggest and my daughter managed to scoff all of the smaller one!! I did measure the flounder at 45cm.
