I am wondering about the technique Sebastian Murat uses on his FRC dives.. I understand his basic idea about why FRC is better, and how you use your own boyancy to save oxygen, but i do not understand how he can equalize down to 60+ when he reaches his residual volume at less than 20 meters?

Maybe Mr Murat can answer himself, or anyone else that have any ideas?

Sincerely

just one question... would you be so kind as to remind me what FRC stands for ?

thanks a lot...

I suppose that it corresponds to the French BTV (Béance Tubo volontaire...) doesn't it ?

FRC= Functional Residual Capacity

I don't know if it is the same as French BTV couse I don't know french. :duh But FRC is the lung volume at a normal exhale.

I just read Ur other post and it seems to me that BTV is some kind of equalisation technique so FRC and BTV are not the same thing, because FRC has nothing to do with equalisation. But i still don't know what BTV means, so could u please translate and explaine it?
