On june 4th 2005 Our group and DEP, FOS and commercial fisherman from Martin county will be holding our annual reef clean-up. This years event is very important as it is the first time ever that all 4 groups have come together for this conservation effort. the fisherman will provide their boats to carry divers to the reefs and they have also agreed to a self tax to fund future clean-ups. in order for this event to be sucessful we need volunteer divers to sign up. You will have the opurtunity to work along side scientist and other interesting people. To sign up call sam @ 321-409-9857 or log onto www.reefsavers.org there youll see the info and can contact us from the site.
There will be food and beverages after the dives along with live entertainment provided by Jonny Fever. This is a free event and divers need to bring cert card and own gear 2 tanks will be good and you should bring 2 types of cutting instruments such as scissors and knife. gloves are recommended as well. Sign up today and reserve your spot on the boat.
groups and dive clubs welcome and encouraged to participate.
