Hi to one and all,

I used to do a bit of freediving but due to work and other such unavoidable inconveniences have not been getting wet much these last few years. I am based in Central Scotland and prefer the West Coast for open water dives as it involves less travelling. Have dived off the East coast which usually has better visibility.

Are there any freediving clubs on the go in Scotland? Are there any public pools out there that allow fin swimming, breath holding (static and dynamic apnea)? Has the age of litigation and ambulance chasers put such things beyond the reach of ordinary mortals?

Interested? Please get in touch.

Welcome to DB from from Texas! I know there are some divers in your neck of the woods. Use the search feature to get some names and PM them. How do you keep the kilt from floating up? rofl

Thanks Al,

Will give that a try. Traded in the kilt for a tartan (Black Watch neoprene)wetsuit ages ago. The kilt was not hydrodynamic enough also it scared the fishes. :)
