I freedivers,

We are pleased to say that the 2nd Montreal's Apnea Cup was a success. Furthermore, this time the media showed interest in the event : TVA (one of the major TV channels in Quebec) covered the contest.

Two Quebec records (women) were established by young freediver Marie-Odile Hogue : 4'20" (static apnea) and 83 m (dynamic with fins). These records are recognized by Apnée Québec, branch of AIDA for Quebec.

The best performances achieved during the contest are :
Static apnea : 5'10" (Patrick Souci)
Dynamic with fins : 91 m (Normand St-Louis)

Ranking Men :
1- Johan Valentin
2- Patrick Souci
3- Frédéric Gagnon

Ranking Women :
1- Marie-Odile Hogue
* Bérangère Duclos (FRA)
2- Christine Leroy
3- Chantal Thériault

Detailed results will be published soon on www.casm.info/coupe.

Coordinator, 2nd Montreal's Apnea Cup

Hi Richard,

Check out the website apneeaventure.com.

In Montreal, there are two schools for freediving: Apnee Aventure, which gives the level 1 course as well as training courses, and Apnea City, which unfortunately does not have a website.

Otherwise check out the page for the CASM @ casm.info. Most of the information you need should be there.
