We live in Northern California and I want to get my husband a great diving watch for Father's Day. Nothing too complicated but something that is accurate at getting depth and can be downloaded. Sorry if this is a repeat of other threads, some info looked old and wanted to get the latest and greatest.

thanks for any help you can offer.

First of all, what a present! ;-)

Does he have a freediving watch already? Is he a beginner/advanced freediver?

He's relatively new to it but is super in to it. He dives and spearfishes off his kayak. He goes to about 30ft and wants to get to 50-60ft. He does not have a dive watch. He does not scuba.

There's a good comparison here: APNEA.cz - Freediving Computers

I haven't used it but I think the Aeris F10 v2 sounds like a good and reasonably priced option (make sure you get the v2).

Also - an even better present (that could also save his life) could be a freediving course. If he is diving alone he really should not be doing so, it's an accident waiting to happen and plenty of people have unfortunately paid the price because they were diving alone. There are some excellent courses that he will love and will also teach him about freediving safety etc

He is free diving certified thru Bamboo Reef. I will take a look at that watch - thanks so much for the advice.

Diver wife, call Leisure Pro and tell them you are looking for the special rate for the Aeris F10 computer. Its listed for 400 and they will discount it to 250 shipped. Itll be there in 3 days and your hubby will be happy.
