Freedive Spearfishing [VIDEO]

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Bet you would be garbage without that gun. Try a real man's weapon: The Hawaiian Sling.

I'd bet a diver with my friend GreekDiver's bottom time and stalking skills could get fish with a pointy stick mate.:D

Cheers. Don Paul

how many kingfish have you gotten with that sling?
thats right "none"
tuna? wahoo?
when you graduate to "manly fish" you will have to leave the manly sling at home
the guy in the video is taking fish you would never take with a sling
lol

Stunning video as ever from Mr GreekDiver.
Can’t comment on the sling but you give this guy a pointed anything and he’d come back to the boat with it stuck in something, of that I’m sure.:)

How do you know if you are the 1 in 3 or the 2 in 3. We did discuss this before in the other thread already though. The secret one.

wow it took all of 3 seconds for everyone to get their panties in a bunch. I saw him shoot a bambi ass hog fish, and yes i have shot plenty of mackeral and kingfish with my sling in the bahamas thank you very much. It's just my opinion that spearguns are for man-ginas :D

Dear Beast beneaths EGO

You are so brave, and so marvelous, tell us again how deep you go, ooooooh, amazing, you are such a manly man, i bet all the girls love it when you tell them every night about your amazing sling, you are soooo cool.

Oh do share another story with us, please do, I can only dream about being so.... manly

(I dive in 3 degrees of water, in trunks, and catch them with my teeth, not really but I just wanted to sound.... manly)

got any pics of those kingfish from the bahamas?
so, tell me, when you shoot a kingfish with a hawaiian sling,
the fish dies instantly every time? if he doesnt die, what happens next?
also, you never miss? seems like it might get a bit expensive shooting at
mid water fish with a sling.
most mid water stuff lives in deeper water, your missed shots would equal lost spears.
unless you never miss.
face it, slings are for hogfish and an occaisonal smallish grouper,
NOT for pelagics
the only reason everyone is giving you a hard time , is because alot of us know greek diver, and we know he shoots nice fish and we enjoy his videos.
we DONT know who the f#$k YOU are.
show us some pics of YOUR exploits , before you go putting others down.
i certainly was not expecting this kind of expertise from someone from gainseville. hows the diving been up there?

Or just leave out the '' putting others down part''.
I can think of a forum that thrives on BS and rhetoric banter....this is not it.

All the best to your polespear or sling Beast, and I know tuna and pelagic fish can be taken with them by experts. It is the ''garbage'' insult that motivated my response.

Cheers, Don Paul

Users of spearguns are a plague to the environment. Give any moron a gun and watch him ravage the reef, you do not garner respect for using this type of weapon.

Lol, you mad bro?

I grew up in the keys, ever heard of it?

As far as Gainesville goes, some people actually finish high school and continue their education? Clearly not something you participate in.

I understand you are all butt hurt because I'm calling out speargun users, but when you have watched them destroy everything in the water as you grow up you hardly have sympathy. Places like the Bahamas have it correct, they are banned because it isn't sporting at all.

I bet he is just a young guy with a keyboard, I have helped protect and raise more fish than I have ever harvested, so no guilt about the gun here.

Cheers, Don
