Freediver's gear -

I'm having a hard time finding any freediving type fins that I can try on...pretty hard over the internet. Anyone know of anyplace in Wisconsin that sells quality freediving equipment? Scuba is everywhere - but freediving gear is hard to find. I also wanna upgrade to a freediving type camo wetsuit.

I go out alot by myself...I figure a wetsuit will bring me back to the top if I SWB - Am I wrong? Any other safety measures for lone diver's? Should I be concerned about it? I can only do about 1 minute at 30 ft - and then I gotta get air... Sure feel good at the end of the day though...It seems to be helping my asthma.

There are a few cheesheads near you, and I'd say hook up with them. Jon has tons of gear that you might look at/try, plus it would be safer if you're with someone.
You should be weighted so that you float up effortlessly from -15 to -30' depending on what you're doing. It's variable even more if you're diving deeper.
Diving alone is dangerous but many of us do it, so educating yourself and having the right gear will help make it slightly less dangerous.

If you ever want to go diving Let me know- I'll bring my stuff, you can try my fins. I live up by the Dells and there is a lake up here that is awesome for Visability! I'm also willing to travel and hour or two to go to a good place. Camo suits usually cost quite a bit- I got a ELIOS camo for about $250 - and that's a custom fit one- I like it alot.
