In September I am moving to Winchester in Hampshire. More details on [ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthread.php?t=65844"]this[/ame] thread.

Are there any pool or open water freedivers in the Hampshire or Dorset area? South coast? Isle of Wight?

I'm sure there are some DB members near there. :wave

The clean air and sea breezes will do you the world of good! I can put you in touch with a very nice chilled little session in Poole or you can stay on the train for another 45min and come dive with us down here in Sunny Portland. I need to work on my Portugese so all things are possible! Bryn.

Thanks for the reply. Portland sounds good. I might even give it a try this summer! When would be ok for me to go?

i am in Southampton, once a year for 2 weeks / 10 days ..

and will need to get wet. Never freedived in England where can you go deep ? with out getting wished away by the tides?

cool :)

if you want to go deep in the UK, you can only really do that at the inland sites - get in touch and maybe we have a SaltFree meet you can make

www.saltfreedivers.com

if you want sea, fishes and beauty - try Bryn's sites off Portland... but be aware that while you are busy admiring the fish... he is making barbecue plans!

Hey hey! My BBQ's rock.. How's your eyes now Sam?? is it worth it??

Saltfree is a great place to train but if you want to " Do the Sea " then get in touch.

When you say deep what do you mean? I have found a 100m hole ifs thats any good for you ( It is all but un diveable cos of its location ) but I suspect that 25m under UK sea will do you fine depth wise.

:)

I was in winchester for 3 years, but that was long before I got into freediving so I can't be much help I'm afraid.

Lovely place though :)

As Soon as I get my Tug Masters ticket I will have a life again! Then I will have time for the big green, BBQ's and light stick fights!
