Hi,

Has anyone does freediving, spearfishing and the likes, with Lasik / corrective eye surgery done?
Just wondering the possible effects as there's no research on it.

Thanks!!

I had Lasik done a few years ago, and have close to 100 dives since then. They haven't exploded yet. What, specifically, are you interested to know?

Thanks for the reply!

Just wondering how it'd be regarding pressure, any increase sensitivity to the ocean/ pool water ? how long after the surgery did you get back into pool / sea?

Really the main thing is that even though my eyesight is now 20/20 according to the doctor, I still feel that it is worse than when I was wearing lenses. My night vision is also noticably worse. That may just be getting older though. After surgery I waited a month before I was in the water again. I also did it in the off-season.

oh no... yes some people say that too, the doctors don't usually do lasik themselves... thanks for the reply again!!
