I am a 35 year old guy with 4 years experience. I am blessed with a lovely wife and a daughter, 18 months old. We are expecting # 2 in December. In Cyprus I noticed that there were quite a few freediving parents there - with their kids. This was kind of promising. I am wondering what the secret to combining family life and freediving could be?

My personal opinion:
- You dive safely
- You get back at the agreed time
- If you love somebody, set them free for a few hours; hopefully, they will too!

Tips on training for parents:
"Baby carriage apnea walking". You offer to take the kid for a walk, and take a few turns of apne walking while you are at it. Conservatively, of course. I like to improve; but I love my daughter!

Well, the first thing you have to do is get em in the water!

Having said that, parenthood makes a huge change in your free time (unless you have a domestic staff to manage your offspring for you). My wife and I try to work out our schedule carefully so that she has time for the things important to her (painting) and I have time to dive. I look wistfully at some of my friends who go off on multi-day dive trips ... ah well!
