Hi, i have been freediving now for approx 6 years and for the last few years i have been diving mostly on my own. ( i like the solitude / i dont push myself in the slightest etc etc.)

But i have decided that i would like to / should start diving with others (and stop being so anti social :D ). I normally travel down to Portland Bill (UK) most weekends year round (including winter ..brrr!) to freedive and film marine life.:inlove

Are there any freedivers/ freediving groups out there who are looking for a buddy or wouldnt mind a new addition, who dive around portland bill / swanage area etc?

I shall be going down to portland bill tomorrow (saturday 15/07/06 for my weekly respite in the sea)

Thanks

Hi there. There are many freedivers/spearos who dive Portland and nearby, many are members of this forum. I myself am just down the M4 from you but alas in the last 2 years I have struggled to get down to the coast. I normally dive the area around Beer/Seaton if I do manage to get away.

Thanks Spaniard, sorry to hear that you havent been able to get down to the sea much....(I find 5 days a bad enough wait...i shall count myself lucky!!)

Hi,
I'm also keen to find buddys to dive with, but unfortunately am a bit hampered with transport as I dont drive..
I went to dorset last weekend to a beautiful spot with a couple of spearfisher friends (who luckily have a car) and have been seriously pining to get back there as soon as I'm able.
I'm not a spearfisher myself (although I'm not adverse to the idea) but I'm quite happy just doing recreational freediving for the moment.
If anyone's able to give me a lift even part way, that would be fantastic, but I realize not everyone's in the london area like myself.

wish I had a car...and knew how to drive it,
