Freediving buoy

I'm out in Western Australia and I'm chasing up a Freediving buoy for training, Neptune or otherwise. Does anyone know where I can find one that's not $200?

why waste money, build one out of an cheapo body board. you'll save your self a ton.

Because I need a freediving training buoy, not a spearo buoy. I need to be able to drop a weighted rope and store it in the float.

Search for abalone float. They use them in California and could do the job.

Diveinn.com had something that would work I believe.

Ive just been making a couple up for some instructors im training, And the bad news is if you want to do it properly its going to cost more than $200 dollars even making it yourself. I spent $485 just on rope. without worrying about the stainless steel components or the float.

Thanks Shrek. I ended up ordering a small starter buoy from Neptune. It's enough for now but only holds about 30 meters of rope so I'll upgrade eventually.

Here's a very descent buoy: http://www.apneautic.com/en/product/3-buoy-standard/ and here's a large version of it: http://www.apneautic.com/en/product/15-buoy-large/. I used the latter last March and it's the best freediving (not spear fishing) buoy that I can imagine.
