A few quick snaps from last night Freediving at Capernwray.

Its a very different experience swimming down to 10m and wrapping your leg around the line waiting for the other freedivers to come down and to get some quick snaps.

These were all taken on breath hold and it was good fun.

Let me know what you think!

Sorry, but 10 meters is nothing special. In my opinion, and in my experience, big fun begins at 15 to 18 meters.

I'm not going for depth when photographing. So you can bang on about depth all you want.

Considering I have just passed my ** course and it was my
First time Freediving with the camera I was stating it's a very different experience than scuba.

The idea of this thread is the photos not the depth.

I hope you are not so nervous when freediving :) Let me explain my previous statement:

Taking photos at depths up to 10 meters deep while freediving it is not very problematic and time (breath) consuming operation. In my opinion, and in my experience, big fun begins at 15 to 18 meters, not because of the depth alone, but because of much longer time you need to prepare your camera for each shot - WB setting is extremly time consuming operation (if I highlight only one problem, which occurs at greater depths and in poor visibility).

Bugger the depth, Great photos sir.
And carry on.:):)

If its not sheep its depth you are buggering eh Podge :inlove

Its the middle of summer up here now, as a cider drinking country bumpkin used to warm calm flat Southern seas you might get half an hour in, i'm arranging a barby weekend with the spearos, fancy coming up? I'll PM you the dates so the 'deep' divers don't get disappointed and turn up, its only shallow at Traeth beach in Wales ;-)

Muppet!

Time is going to be an issue with me mate, I’d love to come oop north but it would have to be a weekend job and as I’ve got a Jolly Boys Outing booked up for down Cornwall:friday:friday I doubt my Mrs or the boss at work will give me a Saturday off.:head
Besides that the weak piss that you call Cider up there just doesn’t cut it with us hardcore combine harvester driving apple throwing straw bale burning Somerset types.:martial:crutchroflrofl

Tee hee, listen to the cute DB Couple. So cute!

For the record I don't have an underwater camera so all my photos are taken at 0m and above. I am such a failure.
Your photos are awesome.

Steady on Mr Reefy
I reckon the even the heathen from oop north would agree that both north and south cider is better than that fizzy stuff you call beer, although the Foster adverts on the telly at the moment are pretty good.

FOSTERS ISNT BLOODY BEER!! You Sir have insulted my honour. I would slap you with a fish were it possible! :)
It's interesting actually I tried my favourite local beer in the "affordable" range, Tooheys New, in England and it tasted nothing like it does here.
But it is only fair, you send us convicts, we send you lot back their urine in a bottle to test for parole purposes, not our fault you mistake them...
(ps-try and get your hands on some Tooheys Old mate)

Flipperflucker, a good party beer game would be to try and say your name 10 times really fast rofl
